Lifes little twists

Some of you may have noticed that I have not been around for awhile. Most people don't notice me at all standing in the corner. About a month ago I went on unemployment, again, as yet another motorcycle shop closed. This led to several things happening, not the least of which was the loss of all utilities (gas, electric) and internet. Yesterday was the first day back in my house with electric and internet. God I missed my computer. My mom's E-Mac is sooooo slow compared to my Mac-Pro. God bless her and my step father for allowing my wife and I to stay with them during this time.

Also during this month my wife and I let an oil leak on the car get the better of us and we spun a rod bearing. It destroyed the crankshaft, and cracked a piston. Fortunately I am a mechanic and can fix it. This does not help pay the 600 dollars in parts though. During the time the car (our ONLY car) was down, my wife :iconrougesrage: was working for Tandy Leather Factory an HOUR and HALF away from where we work. Several times I had to ride her to work on my bike in less than pleasant weather. Any body know what its like to ride for an hour and a half on a 30 year old motorcycle seat? Neither do I, my ass is still numb from it.

In the end it payed off though. Our dedication to my wife's job impressed her regional manager and she in training right now for a FULL time managerial position with her own store. Unfortunately Tandy does not have a store on every corner. There are about 150 stores in the entire country. So we will probably be moving. WOO HOO!! I finally get to get out of this God forsaken place Called Pittsburgh. It really is the Pitts!

Due to my wifes job and my absence from my computer, I have gotten away from my digital art. I did, however get into leathercraft. I have started on a belt and sheath for my sword and a pair of boots. I have a leather box I made too that I will put in my gallery.

All in all things are back on track till the next time my life hiccups. Hope all of you are well too.

"Tech Assassin" Game Trailer

I recently had a class in video and audio editing. The motivation of the class was to make a game trailer. We were required to use stills, but I opted for some animation as well. I can't post it here because of copyright problems. Here everything has to be made by me. The video contains models from the DAZ 3D site as well as music from Warrant. Proper credits are given at the end of the video. I have posted it on my MySpace page and those of you interested can see it here:

The video features our own local assassin, :icona-s-sassin:.

I would love to know what you guys think of it. So speak up!

So I have had very little time lately for my works and characters here. School has gotten busy and now work is pouring into the shop. I need to finish This story and finally broke down and bought a space ship from DAZ3D. Its called the "Vanguard" Awesome model. Worth every penny of 20.00 dollars. So maybe now I can get back to this story and finish it.

I have always been good about starting things enthusiastically and then petering out and not finishing. After forty years of procrastinating, its time to change that.

:icona-s-sassin: "Where the H3!! have you been?"

I've been busy Ashley I'm sorry.

:icona-s-sassin: "Well get busy! I need some more air time here!

Yes I know. You are one of my projects I need to get back to.

:icona-s-sassin: "Damn skippy you need to get back to me! You think I'm gonna just sit by and take a back seat?

no..no... of course not.....

:icona-s-sassin: "Thats right. I'm showcase material here."

showcase?

:icona-s-sassin: "you didn't think you could create me and then just put me on a shelf did you?

no......no...nothing like that......

:icona-s-sassin: "alright then."

And that concludes our tirade for today. Tune in later for another thrilling killing from A.S. Sassin.

:icona-s-sassin: "Hey that rymes..........."

So I have been thinking for a while that I would like to do like :iconchronophontes: and give one of my characters a little more life and interactivity.

:icona-s-sassin: "you call this a life?

See she is talking back already......

:icona-s-sassin: "You think your going to stop me?"

No....no...not at all....... I thought you might like some freinds

What do you think?

:icona-s-sassin: "Can I kill em?"

Well that wouldn't be very friendly.

:icona-s-sassin: "So what do I do with them?"

What did you do with you childhood friends?

:icona-s-sassin: "Held them for ransom......."

Oh I can see we've got a lot of work to do..........

Maybe :iconvirtualeuthanasia: can lend some help here....

:icona-s-sassin: "Oooo she looks like fun!"

Yes....she's right up your alley....

:icona-s-sassin: "Up my what?"

alley......oh never mind.......you might like her....

:icona-s-sassin: "Oh"

Well here she is, Ashley Simone Sassin. Professional hit-woman.
Hope you guys like her.

So I am still working on the ship for "The Dulcern Dilemma". I began the project working in 3dsmax and have switched to Carrara. The interface is a little simpler and OMG all the errors in the mesh stick out like a sore thumb. So I find I have to rework a lot of the stuff I thought was done.

I have also taken on a new project. Another graphic story. You guys can check it out here :iconpandorau: It is a conglomerate of artists and storytellers that have come together to write separate, possibly intertwining, stories in the same twisted universe. Go take a look. Even if your not interested in the stories, the artwork (even the other guys) is awesome.
