Description

I want to put this in for :iconposeraddicts: monthly challenge, but they have not yet let me join their ranks. They are now accepting members who use DAZ studio as well as poser.

Maybe they will have accepted me by next months challenge.

I had no idea you were into 3D work.
I know a little bit about this kind of art so here goes.
You have very good technique. The texturing is pretty ace, especially on the tree and the skin. The dragon is pretty impressive as well. Modeling is nice too, you pulled off very good anatomy. Although the chick's breasts seem to be different sizes a little bit but maybe I just stared at them too long (lol)

As far as poses go, the armored one on the left seems to be standing a little awkwardly. The dragon looks pretty badass, like he just saw something he wants to kill. The one in the front is well done, and the lady in the chair looks good as well. You use human models/photo references for these, right?

I also want to mention that you did a good job making the background fade into the blue, this is almost photorealistic.
I would watch the contrast you use in the foreground, however. The white mushroom draws my attention because it is so bright even though I think you meant for it to only be a prop.
The light coming through the canopy onto the ground also looks very nice, and the lighting on the characters looks very natural.

All in all, this piece seems to just be a sort of very prolific practice in 3D modeling, I'm not getting much of a message from it. And that's fine, but I think you should try some art with a little more impact.

Maybe try some more original character design, as well. To me this strongly resembles the art in Morrowind. Or even try a more original theme. The whole warriors in a forest with a naked chick and a giant dragon thing has been done many times before.
Keep it up though, I would love to see where you go with 3D art as I've never understood how people can create images like this. You obviously have a technical talent for it, just work on the concept.
